Watch this movie. I was surprised by the depth this sci-fi movie had. It had social references and character depth that I was not expecting from an action film (love when that happens) and very artistic visually - I like the style. I don’t want to give away too much so I will just say look up Soweto to learn some related history. Only disappointment - the Nigerians speak Swahili… Nigerians don’t speak Swahili! I am surprised by that detail since the move is so well put together and cultural significant… if anyone has a revelation about this please let me know.

I watched the two hr. special entitled “Generation Islam” which goes to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Gaza. It was very emotional to see so many children and young people dealing with poverty, anger, and lack of attention or outlet for their energy and intellect. It is no surprise that the most positive efforts in these areas involve adults who, above all suffering and adversity, struggle to support education, healthcare, and unarmed peace. This can only be accomplished by persons who disregard their personal atrocities as actions of ‘another kind’ and instead desire that no one, regardless of race, creed, or history, should ever endure their pain… holding arms with no malice or excitement of use but only to defend the rights of the young to have a chance at a better life.
For those who think its only this generation that gets this… my mom told me to look this up….
